History of the Barn Antiques...

The farmstead property on which the "Barn Antiques" now stands dates
back to the early 1800's. The original property belonged to the
United States Territory and was deeded in 1825.

The farmhouse that still stands on the property was built in the
1850's (before president Abraham Lincoln).
The original log joists remain in place in the basement and
have provided a sound base for the house for all these years!

The original barn burned to the ground in the 1900's, but was rebuilt on site.
The farm was used for a berry farm and also had cows and pumpkins.
The little white house on the back of the farmstead was a "pickers bunk house"
and housed the migrant berry pickers. The little stone building towards
the front gate was a "milk house".

In the mid 1970's to 1980's, the family changed the use of the barn to
an antique barn and somewhere around that time added the second
house to the farm for their son and his family.

Doug and Barb Teubert bought the farm in 1998, restored
the barn to it's present day condition and there we
have "The Barn Antiques" as you see it today.
